While looking for stories in the newspaper about the mysterious death by poisoning of Bart Cerutti, who owned a ranch in Antelope Valley, I’ve been able to put together another story of another mystery, the attack on, and disappearance of John Comaita. I’ve also been able to put the story together that the two mysteries had connections.
3 murders, I have another story to try to find now. I don’t know who the man was that was found shot in the head.
More of the story of what happened with the ranch and sales of his livestock can be found in the series of books with newspaper stories and records about the Early Ranches in Nevada, Antelope Valley, Book 3 Vol. 1.

This news bit about people who were delinquent in their taxes was a clue about the ranch:
J.L Butler was Jim Butler, the man who discovered the ore at Tonopah. J.C Butler was his father, John Butler, the original owner of the ranch we know as the Blair & Segura Ranch. Jim Butler had 40 acres east of the Comaita Ranch on Allison Creek. Allison Creek is a long creek that starts in the mountains above the Joel Allison/Ardan’s Ranch and runs all the way to Kitchen Meadows, which is east of the Kolbe/Hot Springs Ranch (in Antelope). https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kzuz2om6dKik7RbmD0oSmWtuoftp0CfNdmG88R4LKb4/edit?usp=sharing More to the Early Ranches in Antelope, Kolbe, Pine Valley stories can be found in Book 3, Volume 2 with newspaper stories, records, and more.
